Activation

MATLAB & Simulink Student Version requires activation. The activation process verifies licensed student users and validates each unique serial number to ensure compliance with our license agreement. You can use the software for up to 30 days after initial installation without completing activation. After 30 days, you must complete the activation process to continue using the software.

The quickest way to activate your software is to use the product activation program that begins after installation. Or you can activate your software online.

Requirements for Activation

To activate your software you must:

• Provide registration information by creating a MathWorks Account
• Provide your serial number and the machine ID for the computer on which you will install the software
• Submit proof of student status if you did not do so at the time of purchase. The MathWorks will verify your proof to allow permanent software activation.
