The MathWorks recognizes and supports the personal commitments that staff members make to a range of organizations.

Volunteering

Full-time staff members are eligible for eight hours of paid volunteer time per calendar year. They can use this time to participate in events organized by the Social Mission team or to volunteer for an approved community service activity.

MathWorks "A-Thon" Matching Program

The MathWorks matches the pledges of staff members engaged in eligible charity fundraisers, such as walk-a-thons and bike-a-thons. In addition, The MathWorks matches 100% of donations made by fellow MathWorkers and up to $100 in pledges from supporters outside of the company.

End-of-Year Donations Program

Every year we make donations to charitable organizations that are researched and nominated by MathWorks staff. In November, MathWorkers vote online to distribute their allotted hundred points across the nominated nonprofits. The point totals that the nonprofits receive from all participating staff members determine the distribution of funding.

MentorNet

The MathWorks encourages staff members to volunteer with MentorNet, an award-winning, nonprofit e-mentoring network. This program improves the retention and success of those in engineering, science, and mathematics, including women and other underrepresented groups in these fields.
