Job Summary
An opportunity now exists at The MathWorks Switzerland office for a marketing professional with responsibility for planning and implementing campaigns across a wide range of industries and application areas in Switzerland plus supporting broader Central European (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) projects and activities. The position is suitable for an individual with experience in managing direct marketing campaigns in a fast-moving B2B environment.
The role requires working closely with other members of the Central European Marketing team and the Sales team / Applications Engineering team locally to develop programs to support local Switzerland goals, Central European targets and corporate strategy. The position is suitable for a proactive, results-oriented individual with a cooperative approach, who would enjoy working in a small, friendly, and highly-motivated team.
Responsibilities
- Build and implement program/seminar plans including schedules, budgets, and lead forecasts to support sales revenue targets for Switzerland
- Execute Marketing programs including arrangement of all logistical aspects
- Ensure that activities are completed on time and on budget and meet quality expectations
- Partner internally with others to successfully plan and implement email and direct mail promotions
- Support the Public Relations activities for Central Europe
- Support Advertisement planning
- Work together with local Sales, Application Engineering and the D-A-CH Marketing team plus the international Program Marketing group to ensure a permanent improvement of the content and delivery of seminar and partner programs
- Develop, implement, and refine processes and standards to ensure that the seminar program runs smoothly
- Monitor, report, and analyze program results and success metrics to identify trends and opportunities, and make program adjustments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in event marketing for the B2B industry (successfully planning, executing and measuring the effectiveness of lead-generating programs i.e. direct mail, seminar, participation in conferences, etc.)
- Project management skills
- Lead/contact management experience (lead follow up processes)
- Strong communication skills, fluency in German, French and English
- Experience in vendor coordination desirable
- Knowledge in Partner Programs is an advantage
- Demonstrated experienced with Search Engine Marketing desirable
o Including on-page and meta-data optimization
o Back-link building
o Understanding of Google and other search engine algorithms
o Knowledge in keyword research tools and analysis - Experience in webadvertisement a plus
o Pay Per Click experience - Experience in international high tech industry is preferred
- Knowledge of software industry is desirable
- Strong Excel expertise is required (Pivot table)
- CRM Software tool expertise is desirable
- Strong team player
- Some travel required
