numberOfStrips

Total number of strips in image

Description

example

numStrips = numberOfStrips(t) returns the total number of strips in the image specified in the Tiff object t.

Examples

collapse all

Determine the number of strips in the second image of a TIFF file.

Create a Tiff object for the file example.tif.

t = Tiff('example.tif','r');

When you create a Tiff object, the current image file directory points to the first image in the TIFF file. To get data on the second image, change the image file directory to point to the second image.

nextDirectory(t)

Get the number of strips in the image.

if ~isTiled(t) % if the image does not have a tiled layout
    numStrips = numberOfStrips(t)
end
numStrips = 7

Close the Tiff object.

close(t);
