How can i apply fault signal to variable resistor model...??

To simulate a fault i used initially charged capacitor & i have used controlled current source to simulate variable resistor. But when i run the model current is zero even the capacitor is not discharging.
Pl refer to the Power VariableInductor. I'm trying to do similar.
