problem in running when use pmode

hi lately, I used pmode . I tried simple example.
pmode start
x=magic(6);
labindex
recstarID=[0 0 ; 3 1];
recEndID=[2 5; 5 5];
a=sum(x(restarID(labindex,:),reEndID(labindex,:)))
b=distributed(a,distributor('1d',1))
I have two cores, so I have to partition the array x into two parts .As I read in tutorial I have to determine the upper left index and the lower right index for each part.
*what I got :
a =
66 44
it should be get six valuse , why I got two wrong values*
