Platform Road Map for MATLAB and Simulink Product Families*
See the platform road map for PolySpace products.
As of R2010a (March 2010), new releases from The MathWorks will no longer be supported on:
- Sun Solaris SPARC
As of R2009a (March 2009), new releases from The MathWorks will no longer be supported on:
- Windows XP Service Pack 1
- Mac OS X 10.4
Note about Mac OS X support:
The MathWorks currently has a beta version of 64-bit MATLAB for 64-bit Macintosh OS X. R2009b is the target release for general availability of MathWorks software for 64-bit OS X. Support for new releases on 32-bit Macintosh OS X for Intel will be eliminated one release following the addition of 64-bit OS X support.
Supported Compiler Changes
As compiler support is upgraded from release to release, The MathWorks will continue to drop support for older versions of these compilers. The current plan is to drop support for the following compilers in 2009:
R2009a
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Express
- Open Watcom 1.3
- Platform SDK on Win64
R2009b
- Intel Visual Fortran 9.1
- Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 7.1
